An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join a private sector organisation based in Dagenham.

The purpose of the role will be to manage the delivery of professional construction project management across a range of contracts and individual projects (circa £10m).

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing projects and teams to deliver programmes of work (circa £10m) and have experience managing projects within a highly commercialised environment, to time, budget quality and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate would have an HNC or equivalent in Building, IOSH Managing Safely or Equivalent and project management qualification.

Key duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Take responsibility and accountability for the successful delivery of a range of construction projects including planned maintenance, projects and major works across multiple contracts

  • Developing new solutions and delivery models to improve efficiency, reduce costs, improve quality and customer experience

  • Responsible for managing a programme of major work (circa £10m) and delivery of individual projects. Ensuring the most effective delivery of all projects to the highest quality within time and financial constraints

  • Management of the full supply chain requirements to deliver successful construction projects and service that achieve business objectives and meet our customer's needs

  • Represent the company at contract management level, building and developing excellent client and stakeholder relationships

  • Responsible for ordering works, reviewing and validation of claims either from operatives or contractors

  • Overall financial management responsibility for individual projects and a programme of works up to £10m

  • Contract management and administration of contracts from inception to final account

  • Preparing and approving cost schedules and accounts relating to major work construction projects

  • Preparation of project specification and schedule of works

  • Contributing to the development of solutions to improve efficiency, reduce costs, improve quality and customer experience
