Our Client, are currently recruiting for a Project Officer . This position would normally be an Office based role, but due to the current Covid pandemic our office in Canary Wharf is only open for limited access, and you will need to have the environment and ability to work from home. We will provide you with essential equipment including a Surface Pro. The role is working for private security industry company based in Canary Wharf , so requires somebody who has experience of working on project, programmes or portfolios including management of risks and issues.

  • Location: Canary Wharf (Currently home)

  • Pay: £28,200

  • Type: perm

  • Hours: 37.5 Monday - Friday

  • Start Date: ASAP

Our client want individuals working within the pool to develop a broad range of PPM skills and experience to compliment formal qualifications. As such post holders will be expected to perform a range of activities and the allocation of responsibilities will be actively managed to ensure personal development for individuals alongside meeting business priorities.

  • Assist in the development and maintainenance of project and programme plans and monitoring activities to ensure that project plans are on track, including identifying and tracking dependencies and interdependencies

  • Support financial and resource forecasting and monitoring

  • Create and maintain RAID (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies) logs and other Project and Programme Management (PPM) documentation and assist with running workshops to identify, evaluate and treat risks and issues to ensure their on-going management.

  • Ensure assumptions and dependencies are recorded and regularly reviewed

  • Work as a team with the other project officers to support project and programme managers in delivering plans

  • Undertake secretariat role for boards that comprise formal project and programme governance, organising meetings, producing minutes and action points, following up on execution of action points.

  • Work as a team with the other project officers to support project and programme managers in delivering plans

  • Ability to work under own initiative and be creative in tackling challenges and finding solutions

  • Experience of working on projects, programmes or portfolios including management of risks and issues

  • Proficient in the use of Sharepoint and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel
