Our client, who act to resolve financial disputes are looking to on-board a Property Maintenance and Helpdesk Assistant, salary £25k, start ASAP, this is a permanent role, hours Mon-Fri 35 per week (Shift work may be required on occasion) this role will be working fully on site, Location: Docklands, London. A current DBS will be taken up on the successful candidate.


The purpose of your role;



  • As a maintenance and helpdesk assistant you'll carry out tasks and maintenance repair work in the office that have been reported to our client Property team through the internal helpdesk.

  • From setting up meeting rooms to moving desks, you'll complete a variety of daily tasks that support our staff and the day to day running of the building.

  • You'll be carrying out floor walks to make sure they're clean and safe for our client colleagues to work from, and report any findings along the way - working proactively is extremely important as we want to put things right before it becomes an issue.

  • You'll also work closely with our health and safety manager carrying out DSE assessments within a reasonable time and issuing any specialist equipment required.


Minimum Criteria



  • Demonstrate knowledge of building maintenance - including manual handling, heating controls, health and safety and basic plumbing

  • Working in a fast paced and customer facing role, being able to prioritise your workload and react to urgent situations that can arise last minute. Being able to think outside the box at times

  • Having good knowledge of Microsoft Office software - and PC/laptop literate

  • Being able to build relationships with and influence colleagues.

  • Being able to communicate in a straightforward and approachable way with people at all levels - maintaining professionalism at all times showing that you understand their situation and how it affects them.


Desirable Criteria



  • Ideally being certified by the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) or willing to work towards gaining certification
