Brilliant opportunity to join a well established company based in the Newbury/Thatcham area. You will join a very successful team on a temporary to permanent basis. This role is a part time position paying £15,500 per annum.


The Finance Assistant will be responsible for;


- Processing customer payments.


- On time quarterly VAT returns.


- ECSL monthly sales returns for HMRC via our accountants.


- Bank reconciliation daily.


-Supplier payments and chasing of their invoices.


- Credit control with customers to ensure control of cash flow.


- Liaise with sales team on customer matters and credit control issues.


- Aged debtor reports.


- Creditor account set up and updating.


- Debtor account set up and updating.


- Handling of staff expense claims and reimbursement.


- Liaise with our accountants as required. Assisting auditors to ensure a clean end to the year.


- Monthly and quarterly and other reporting to management as required and requested.


- Work closely with US parent company finance team to ensure accurate and timely flow of information and rapid response to requests.


- Analysis of Creditor balances by A/C and GL to ensure accurate budget tracking.


- The successful candidate will respond to customer queries and e-mails, and other office duties where necessary.


The ideal candidate;


-Previous work experience in dealing with accounts processing.


- Experience in SAP, we use SAP Business by Design.


- Respond to customer calls and e-mails.


- Ability to multi-task with attention to detail and accuracy.


- Provide excellent customer service.


- Flexible individual with a positive and enthusiastic team attitude.


- Excellent communication skills.


- Working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook a minimum requirement.


- Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality


Please note the working hours are Monday- Friday 9am-12pm
