Adecco Chester are proudly recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to work within the Finance department of our well-established client within the travel industry, based in the centre of Chester

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

Working hours: The position is temporary and full-time, 37.5 hrs Mon-Fri, typical working hours 9.00-17:30.

This is a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate

Our client is looking for an immediate start and the role is an ongoing position.

Work from home is also available for 2 days in the office at a minimum between Tuesday - Thursday

Key responsibilities include:

Process transactions, enter invoices on the accounts system and make payments, ensuring they are actioned in an accurate and timely manner

  • Authorise multi-currency invoices on the reservations systems and produce relevant reports following Company procedures

  • Request approval for overhead invoices for prompt return and make payments in line with contractual agreements

  • Review and process staff expense payments

  • Reconcile any discrepancies and errors identified

  • Work alongside the Management Accountant in all aspects of the finance

Key skills include:

  • Experience in purchase ledger or accounts payable roles

  • Outstanding communication and inter-personal skills

  • Use of Microsoft Dynamics or a similar accounting package

  • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Packages most noticeably Excel

  • Self-motivated and proactive team player
