Due to continued expansion, I am currently looking for an Purchase Ledger to join a friendly and vibrant Accounts team as a Purchase Ledger.

Your main duty will be to run and maintain a busy purchase ledger alongside daily bookkeeping duties. You will be required to reconcile various income streams and bank accounts and post to Sage 50icloud Accounts. You will be part of a small accounts department and work as a team to ensure the smooth running of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing invoices and checking against purchase orders

  • Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details within the purchase ledger

  • Refunding customers as and when required

  • Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements

  • Daily bank reconciliation

  • Assist in the preparation of purchase summaries

  • Processing BACS payments and preparing cheques

  • Review P/L regularly and monitor credit limits

  • Monitor the inbox of the accounts team

  • Import excel documents to Sage 50icloud accounts Reconciliation of month-end statements ensuring all matched up and any
    anomalies are dealt with.

Key Traits:

  • Previous purchase ledger experience

  • Great interpersonal and communications skills

  • Self-discipline

  • Good team working skills

  • The ability to work to monthly deadlines

  • An aptitude for IT - knowledge of software packages like Microsoft Word, Excel and 50icloud

  • Thorough, organised and trustworthy
