Our York City Centre client is one of the leading providers of passenger transport in Europe, employing over 53,000 people and delivering 2 billion passenger journeys a year across 14 European countries. Due to an increase in workload Adecco are recruiting a Temporary Purchasing Administrator.

As a Purchasing Administrator, your duties would include;

  • Processing Purchase Orders on purchasing system

  • Dealing with backlog of Purchase Orders to clear the purchasing system

  • Liaising with Suppliers regarding delivery timescales.

  • Dealing with supplier contracts.

  • Liaising with other departments to update on deliveries.

  • Communicates with suppliers to ensure orders have been received, chase orders, query prices, discuss minimum order levels and any carriage charges.

The successful Purchasing Administrator will have good attention to detail, be a confident communicator at all levels, can multi-task, whilst be organised and efficient and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

Experience of working with SAP or other purchasing systems would be an advantage.

This is a temporary position of up to 3 to 6 months.

Pay rate is £12.00 to £14.00 per hour.
