We are looking to recruit a full time, permanent, Purchasing & Customer Services Administrator for an employer of choice on the outskirts of Workington.
Job Description
- Making sure all of our UK and international customers receive an excellent customer services experience by proactively managing customer enquiries, complaints and orders.
- Taking orders, keying in details accurately, acknowledge orders and working closely with customers to make sure orders are released and packed in line with lead times & requests.
- Liasing with shipping agencies, ensuring consignments are collected on time with the correct documents.
This position will also be involved in day to day purchasing activities, including working with freight forwarders to approve shipping requests and chase shipment status/delivery dates and supporting the purchasing function to ensure no out of stocks from bought in goods and raw materials.
Essential Criteria
- Purchasing experience (preferably is a manufacturing environment)
- Adept at using microsoft excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Solution orientated, self starter who can thrive in a small team
Desirable Criteria
- Knowledge of MRP systems
- Educated to A level or equivalent
Schedule
- 35.5 hours per week
- 25 days holiday per annum plus bank holidays
Monday - Thursday 08:30 to 16:45
Fridays 08:30 to 13:15
