Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm



Our Client, based in Stroud are seeking a Purchasing Expeditor to join their Purchasing team.



The purpose of the role is to be responsible for ensuring smooth delivery of purchase orders including: planning delivery schedules, keying purchase orders and monitoring order reports.



Key Duties:



  • Ensure optimal delivery of supplier materials

  • Working closely with other teams within the Supply Chain

  • Negotiate with suppliers and build strong working relationships

  • Ensuring that internal targets and deadlines are met

  • Assisting with purchase order entries and purchase administration

  • Managing purchase order backlog, ensuring order dates and notations are updated

  • Monitor and review vendor related goods rejection notes/NCR. Liaise with accounts, goods inwards and buyers to ensure GRRN's are completed and closed out within an allocated time frame. systems are kept tidy and up to date.

  • Providing cover for other roles within the purchasing/planning team



Candidate Attributes:



  • Highly motivated, team player with good organisation skills who is able to work under pressure

  • Experience ideally within an Manufacturing or Engineering environment

  • Experience of ERP/MRP, Microsoft office, Excel.

  • Strong negotation, interpersonal and communication skills

  • Analytical, numerically astute with strong proven problem solving abilities

  • A proactive approach to changing workload demands in an operational environment.
