Purchasing Specialist Wanted


Based in Wolverhampton

Salary £20,000 - £25,000PA



Due to expansion my global client is looking to recruit additional purchasing specialists to join their organisation.


Due to the nature of the role a clean driving licence is required as you will be required to travel to various locations.



Successful Candidates:


Successful Candidates:



  • Will have previous experience within a purchasing support role

  • Knowledge of purchasing software

  • Understanding the buying process

  • Liaison with sub-contract / supply chain to ensure correct allowances within estimate quantities

  • Experience of working in a busy office

  • Practical and problem-solving knowledge

  • Good organisation skills

  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and committed attitude

  • IT literate using word / excel



The Role:



  • Demonstrates and promotes the company vision

  • Process PR to PO for assigned businesses.

  • Promotes purchasing strategies that will meet service level goals and support overall bottom line performance of the company.

  • Evaluate sources of supply and develop optimal pricing methodology, warranty, and product/service performance requirements. Determine how to acquire the necessary products and services at the maximum level of savings.

  • Support the procurement of capital projects.

  • Identify new sources of supply and potentially acceptable new products/technologies. Establish/develop/maintain professional relationships with suppliers/partners based on the highest ethical business practices.

  • Act as the Purchasing Expert for assigned businesses and know the market drivers, supplier base, emerging technologies, regulatory factors, category spend by supplier, and key performance metrics. Exhibit ownership of the entire supply chain for assigned category.
