Adecco Chester are proud to be recruiting for a Quality Assurance Manager for our Llangefni based client reporting to the Technical Manager. Our client is a global nutrition company, grounded in science and nature and dedicated to providing better nutrition for every step of life's journey. The successful applicant will ideally have, as a minimum, a third level qualification in Food Technology / Food Science or related subject.

In addition to the core hours of work, the Quality Manager will be required to attend site on a minimum of 5 weekends throughout the year, in accordance with the Duty Manager Rota, to provide out of hours cover.

The main job responsibilities include but are not limited to:-

  • Providing leadership and management to a team of QA/QC Technicians.

  • Develop, monitor and ensure compliance to GMP standards in the factory.

  • Reviewing, developing and maintaining the Quality Management System.

  • Ensuring timely audit reports are maintained and issued.

  • Monitoring the quality and technical performance of various departments taking corrective actions when required. eg: tracking KPI's such as Complaints, Audit NCNs, Internal incidents and Raw materials /Product specifications.

  • Ensure timely investigation of customer complaints and quality incidents.

  • Drive continuous improvement using in-process problem solving techniques such as root cause analysis.

  • Liaise and work with all departments to achieve continuous improvement and excellent scores in both internal and external audits.

  • Provide and deliver food hygiene / food safety training on site.

  • Understand, observe and ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures.

  • Support and promote the development of a pro-active food safety culture.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Experience in a Technical role in a food or allied industry manufacturing environment.

  • Previous leadership experience

  • Excellent communication, problem solving and numeracy skills.

  • PC skills with a good understanding of all Microsoft Office packages.

  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with internal departments and external customers.
