Job Summary

We're looking for smart, experienced and enthusiastic Quality Control Specialists, to join Cazoo at the very beginning of our journey. The roles will be based at our vehicle preparation centre in Corby, helping to build the UK's best car buying experience.

Cazoo will become one of the leading volume buyers of used car stock in the UK. This role is therefore critical to ensure that the cars going through our rigorous inspection & refurbishment programme only provides, 'Cazoo Standard' quality cars to our digital showroom.

We are looking for a team of Quality Control Specialists that can work within an outsourced environment, working in close conjunction with our supply partner, to ensure the quality of vehicles are in-line with our exacting retail standards.

This role will be the eyes & ears on the ground of Cazoo within our partners operation and the ability to work collaboratively, efficiently & with a close eye for detail are essential within this critical vehicle preparation process.

The role needs someone with the right mindset and cultural fit to become part of a fast paced, data-driven business that will transform automotive retailing in the UK.

What you'll be doing

  • Ensure that each vehicle has completed the Cazoo Retail Standard 150 point check.

  • Confirm any necessary rectification work has been completed and to the required standard.

  • Ensure the quality of the finished product post Valet, including the fitment of any Cazoo specific products e.g. Number plates, Car mats, customer goodies and the car is clean of any other company brands.

  • Ensure the vehicle images are as per the Cazoo standard imaging requirements, including any highlighted damage and features.

  • Keep up to date of the key vehicle 'Features' that help promote the cars extra value and ensure these are captured during the imaging process.

  • Ensure that the vehicle has the appropriate documentation securely managed.

  • Ensure that any loose items of value, e.g. Sat Nav SD cards, are present and securely managed.

  • Identify more efficient methods of working, cost reduction initiatives and changes to the Cazoo 150 point check.

  • Regular audit of rectification work (optical bodywork) some days following work within the operating compound to identify any post rectification work or quality trends, not evident at point of initial QC.

  • Ensure knowledge of the latest repair & inspection techniques are kept up to date and applied appropriately.

  • Full compliance with Cazoo & our supply partners health & safety policies and advise management, where others are not complying.

  • Utilise Cazoo reporting suite, focussing on inspection & refurbishment cycle time, refurbishment quality, re-work & cost per unit.

Key skills required

  • Minimum of two years of vehicle inspection experience, ideally with estimation

  • Experience of inspecting in a volume environment.

  • Familiar with working with technology, e.g. tablet, smart phone

  • Microsoft Office/Google Suite - Intermediate experience, particularly Excel/Numbers

  • Fast paced mindset

  • Willingness to travel (Clean driving licence required)
