Adecco are delighted to be working with a fantastic company based in Poole who are recruiting for an R&D Engineer with a chemistry background.


Responsibilities:



  • Health and Safety of the laboratory and the people that enter or use that facility.

  • To ensure housekeeping standards are maintained. The laboratory is kept clean, tidy and free from clutter.

  • To ensure that all equipment is maintained and calibrated in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines.

  • To ensure the laboratory operates in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

  • To support the R&D function in the development of new product. This Is to include developing a required product specification that is either based on a customer requirement or specification or if pure R&D, we have an expected outcome that clearly defines the expectation of the new product.

  • To ensure all data is accurate, repeatable and that all activities leading up to the generation of data has been correctly done, panel quality and specimen preparation must conform to industry guidelines and standards, so we know we are not going to generate low data.

  • To ensure the right number of batches with induced variation so data is generated within the range of normal tolerances .


Qualifications & Experience:


Qualified to degree level, ideally in composites or other material related subjects with two years' work experience in a similar role, again ideally in composites. To include material testing and sample preparation to perform tests such are Tensile S&M, Flexural S&M, ILSS, Compression S&M as a minimum.


Salary:


£30,000 - £35,000


Permanent Full time position Mon-Fri
