Adecco are delighted to be working on behalf of our client based in Cockermouth who are a leading supplier within there industry who currently have an opportunity for a receptionist/administrator to join there team offering fantastic benefits and career progression for the right candidate.



Duties and responsibilities include:



  • Meeting and Greeting Visitors to the site.

  • Assist with communication to customers and employees.

  • Answering the phone and directing calls.

  • General administration, including filing, assisting with other duties within the department.

  • Franking and managing the outgoing post.

  • Provide administrative support, Typing, scanning, data input.


Experience in working within a busy office is of advantage but full training will be provided. The shift can go from relaxed to hectic at times, as the workload can quickly change therefore a flexible, focused, and hands-on approach is of benefit.

A skilled administrator, with a professional telephone manner and a can-do attitude. You understand the customer's perspective and have a natural ability to build a strong rapport and demonstrate empathy when needed. You will be a confident multi-tasker who can be resilient and show a great team spirit! You will be naturally friendly and want to get stuck in, working with your team to deliver great results. You will have an enthusiastic approach to learning new skills. You will deliver high standards, working accurately and efficiently.


Essential Criteria:



  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written.

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.

  • Ability to recognise confidentiality and act in a professional manner.

  • Have a polite, pleasant, and helpful telephone manner.

  • Experience in working with office programs in particular Word and Excel.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
