Working as part of our wider People and Culture department, you will be joining our dedicated team of passionate and experienced professionals working across Human Resources, Culture and Development and Facilities. Your responsibility as our dedicated Regional Human Resources Business Partner, will be to oversee the HR functions and deliver best practiced across our Southern region.

As our newest Human Resources Business Partner you will work in partnership with Brand MD's, Heads of Department, Employees and key stakeholders in the South Region to shape, develop and deliver HR plans and solutions in line with the needs and priorities of the brands. Operating as the HR expert, to advise, guide and support employees and managers by providing high level people management and development support across all operational areas.

Their role includes identifying, sharing and spreading best practise throughout the business, and demonstrating excellent teamwork. They will ensure that all decisions are based on the achievement of the Company Strategic Pillars.

You will be accountable for delivery in the following areas:

  • Providing expert HR advice and guidance to managers at all levels and employees on HR matters, supporting managers in dealing with complex casework, performance, attendance and employee relations issues.

  • Providing advice and guidance to the Brand MD's, Heads of Department and managers on employment matters; influencing management and the leadership around the people agenda to maximise service performance.

  • Identifying Operational HR priorities from Company and Sister Brand plans, translating business requirements into effective HR practices and delivering people solutions aligned to business objectives.

  • Delivering key HR initiatives across the HR spectrum, including restructuring, employee relations, employee engagement and performance management.

  • Ensuring key stakeholders are informed / consulted on relevant changes such as restructures, redundancies and retirements etc.

  • Working with third party providers to ensure that services meet business needs and are delivered to agreed standards and timescales.

  • Analysing and reporting HR information to support with benchmarking and the development of HR strategies and solutions. Ensuring that all internal and external reporting requirements are satisfied through the provision of management information and the delivery of HR scorecard data.

  • Maintaining a clear understanding and providing up to date knowledge of the legal framework within which HR operates; developing HR policies in line with current legislation and keeping abreast of modern HR procedures and best practice.

  • Supporting the development and implementation of Sykes job evaluation, pay and reward strategy

  • Ensuring the smooth running of working parties to facilitate the delivery of HR policies, projects and initiatives.

  • Monitoring and supporting operational HR activity to ensure the terms of the HR SLA are being met.

  • Addressing HR related business continuity issues.

Essential Experience:

  • Strong track record of developing and implementing policy, experienced in implementing HR strategy.

  • Experience of managing and improving employee relations, managing conflict and sensitive issues to achieve positive outcomes.

  • Experience of developing and managing change projects and programmes.

  • Experience of delivering strategic priorities within strict timelines.

  • Ability to work on own initiative, prioritise work to deadlines and pay attention to detail.

  • Ability to analyse complex information and recommended solutions.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and information to a range of audiences and stakeholders.

  • Skilled analytical thinker with ability to critically assess requirements and select 'best fit' approach to meeting Sykes HR needs.

  • Able to use project management disciplines to lead or contribute to project work.

  • CIPD qualified to chartered status or five years equivalent HR experience.

  • Experience of working in a multi-site environment.

  • Ability to travel within the UK

This role will be travel based for 2/3 days a week and office based for the rest of the week, so must be willing to travel and have a driving license.

£38,000 pa plus car allowance
