3 MONTH ASSIGNMENT (POSSIBILITY OF BEING EXTENDED)


£18.50 HOURLY RATE (PAYE)


IMMEDIATE START



ROLE PURPOSE:


To assist the Finance Team Leaders & Rent Arrears Income Recovery Lead officers with all aspects of debt recovery.



MAIN DUTIES:



  • Deals with appropriate enquiries at first point of contact and hands off to other Finance Staff in accordance with agreed processes

  • Carrying out a range of tasks associated with Housing rent collection including enforcement process

  • Liaises with Customers and their Representatives, External and Internal Stakeholders to effectively resolve enquires and provide comprehensive advice and assistance in writing, and face to face.

  • Provides a service by efficiently resolving telephone enquiries

  • Assists with the maintenance of the Intranet and other self-service options for Finance enquiries Takes telephone payments in accordance with agreed procedures



THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:



  • Knowledge of welfare benefits Knowledge of the proposed welfare reforms and Universal Credit

  • Demonstrate an understanding of debt collection and recovery

  • Experience of working in a customer- focused environment and achieving successful outcomes in the delivery of services that meet customer needs.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of Financial Exclusion and the impact it has on residents.

  • Experience of working with multiple agencies to deliver services for customers.
