Resourcing Administrator

Duration - 6 months

£20,000 to £22,000

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a lovely Resourcing Department for a leading Organisation in Gloucestershire. You will be part of a small resourcing team linked to a large HR department. The vacancy is currently for 6 months but there is a possibility for the position to be extended.

You will be working within a very friendly department, in order to be considered for the Resourcing Administrator position you will need to demonstrate experience in the below responsibilities and minimum requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • The post holder is responsible for the recruitment of all staff recruited into the organisation.

  • With minimum supervision, undertake all administration relating to all the recruitment into the Organisation, including shortlisting the competency based questionnaire and application forms. This will require the post holder to deal with confidential information in the appropriate manner.

  • Issue Contracts of Employment for new and existing employees, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail at all times.

  • Provide advice and guidance to Managers, internal employees and members of the public, in person, in writing and via the telephone, in relation to all the Recruitment and Selection Process on behalf of the Organisation.

  • Arrange and attend, as required, assessment centres and or interviews including taking responsibility for arranging the location or accommodation.

  • Handle queries and provide advice and guidance in relation to the preparation and insertion of adverts to the appropriate media.

  • Arrange temporary staff cover for internal departments in accordance with Staffing Agreement.

  • Arrange with the Occupational Health Department, medical screening and any subsequent
    issues that arise.

  • Represent the organisation at Careers Fairs and other Associated promotional Events,
    (this will involve evening and weekend work which may be either in or outside the Organisations area).

  • Take a proactive approach in implementing new working practices and procedures.

  • Assist in the training of new staff members. Provide support and advice as required to other team members.


  • GCSE English Language (Grade c or above) or equivalent (i.e. proven ability).

  • A minimum of two years admin experience one year of which has been in a recruiting or personnel function within the last 5 years.

  • Highly developed computer literacy with previous experience of a computerised HR system and a working knowledge of Microsoft packages?- word and outlook.

  • Professional approach when dealing with members of the public and other organisations including awareness of the impact of the advice/information being given.

  • A good understanding of Employment Law and its application within the Recruitment and Selection function.

  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines, whilst dealing with high workloads.

  • Be confident in dealing with internal and external personnel.

  • Excellent administration skills and the ability to work in an organised and structured way.

  • Ability to hold information in the strictest confidence.


  • The ability to effectively manage change and competing priorities.

  • Hold the Certificate in Personnel Practice (CPP) or other relevant equivalent qualification. (You must be willing to undertake a course of study to attain the CPP if you are not already in possession of this qualification within 2 years of appointment.

  • To maintain and enhance levels of personal responsibility in the job role.

  • To be a Competency based Structured Interviewer.

  • Flexibility to travel to other locations.
