Retail Merchandising assistant

Location: South Kensington - At least one day per week on site

Salary: £12.14 per hour

Duration: starting on the 12th September until the end of January

Working pattern: Hours 09.00 am - 5.15pm Mon, Tue, Wed, Thurs - 28.8 hours per week (4 days per week)

Contract type: Fixed Term contract until end January 2023 - Temporary

Adecco is currently recruiting for a Retail Merchandising assistant to join a prestigious Museum based in South Kensington.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Experience in retail merchandising.

  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal).

  • Strong prioritisation skills: manages time effectively to deliver to deadlines.

  • Expert knowledge of MS Excel and merchandising systems.

  • Confident in communicating with suppliers and building relationships.

Main tasks and responsibilities (job description)

  • Processing purchase orders on the EPOS system.

  • Contacting suppliers to chase up outstanding orders and liaising with the Warehouse Team to confirm delivery bookings.

  • Highlight supplier cost price changes, out of stocks and availability issues to MM and AM and log issues on relevant spreadsheets.

  • Liaise with the Warehouse Team to resolve stock queries.

  • Maintain and update the Out of Stock and Deleted Lines weekly reports.

  • Updating the Top 100 and Zero Sellers weekly reports and communicate to the Retail Team.

  • Input markdowns that have been agreed with the MM or AM.

  • Set up new products and new suppliers on the EPOS system.

  • Working with the Warehouse Team to process book returns.

  • Assist the AM with processing Inter Departmental Purchases.
