Position: Retail Productions Operations Manager (Permanent position)


Salary: £32,000 -£36,000 per annum with holidays & pension (Potentially can earn up to 40K)


Location: St. Albans, Hertfordshire


About the company: The main purpose of this role is to manage the day-to-day running of embroidery and print operations for all retail garments, including all aspects of staffing, as well as assisting in the development, and managing the implementation, of a long-term department improvement and growth plan.


Experience in garment embroidery and/or print is preferred but not essential, however strong management experience in a manual working environment is essential


Responsibilities:



  • Ensuring all embroidery and print for retail garments is completed accurately, to an industry-leading standard and in accordance with any deadlines.

  • Motivating all department staff and ensuring they have the skills, knowledge and resources required to complete their work to the necessary standard and timelines.

  • Recruiting and training new employees to ensure the department is sufficiently staffed.

  • Implementing and arranging QA checks on products completed by the department.

  • Arranging a realistic and efficient production schedule, communicating this with the rest of the business and ensuring it is successfully adhered to.

  • Leading the implementation of an embroidery workflow software package to simplify the design retrieval process and track productivity.

  • Supporting with the wider transition to a new company-wide ERP system and leading the change from a production point of view.

  • Monitoring stock levels of supplies and reordering when necessary.

  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

  • Any other reasonable duties as required by senior management.
