My Client is committed to high levels of customer service. The role is critical to delivery of our service ideals and sales growth. Working in a small team, you will call existing customers within a defined sales territory weekly or fortnightly for their normal order. You will be the first contact for all customer queries and questions and have the opportunity to really make a difference to the business.

You will work in tandem with an external Field -based sales person to develop strong relationships with customers, based on high standards of professionalism and service. You will have a great deal of autonomy and must be able to prioritise and manage your own workload on a daily basis. You will help us merge various systems to ensure that customers receive great service and sales target is met.

Summary of role

Working Hours: Monday - Friday full-time.

Key tasks

  • Contact existing customers by telephone for their regular, normal order

  • Sell new lines to our existing customer base

  • Maintain a contact data base & customer records to company standards

  • Provide excellent, prompt customer service to customers and colleagues at all times

  • Setting up new customers on our system to agreed standards

  • Written correspondence, such as letters to new customers, responses to enquiries etc

  • Working with their Field sales partner to identify and target new business opportunities in our chosen markets

  • Processing inbound customer orders, which are placed electronically by email or fax

Transferable skills

  • Has experience of sales role. This can have been gained in a different discipline (e.g.: retail, estate agency etc), however the successful candidate will be used to working towards achieving company sales targets and enjoy the buzz of selling!

  • T. competency: E-mail, word, excel, PowerPoint, Internet use

  • Contributes to the development of a small and successful team

  • Assertive- spots issues that need action by self or others in order to achieve exceptional customer service and satisfaction.

  • Simple & straight-forward - credible, and comfortable in dealing with customers. Presents ideas in a simple way that is understood. Works with colleagues across company to deliver goals and objectives.

  • Organised - Prioritises objectives, sets clear goals to deliver objectives, regularly measures success.

  • Passionate - Lights up the room with their enthusiasm & leaves the customer feeling good!
