Adecco Cramlington are delighted to represent their client in a search for a Sales Administrator, to join their growing team.


Main purpose of the role:


As required by the company and expected by our customers. The role shall contribute to the company's overall customer service. The Sales Administrator shall contribute to achieving the strategic targets by supporting the sales strategies of the subsidiary business and overall group in the administration of customer enquiries, order handling, and related customer and internal liaison. Specifically, the role shall contribute directly to the division's sales growth, by maintaining the company's well-earned reputation for customer service and support.

Main tasks and responsibilities:


Working in co-ordination with, and under the supervision of the Senior Sales Administrator:


� Dealing with sales enquiries over the telephone and e-mail


(some technical product knowledge will be needed - training will be provided)


� Preparation of quotations from agreed price lists and distribution discount structures


� Follow up of quotations, via telephone or e-mail


� Checking credit status and overdue payments prior to dispatch


� Processing of orders received, utilising company ERP system


� Communicating order confirmations, and prompt invoicing on dispatch


� Liaison with internal departments on enquiry and support matters


� Telephone Reception and other administrative duties


� It's a prerequisite to work according to the company's QHSE guidelines, process descriptions and routines


Other Job Functions:


* Maintenance and control of consignment and loan stock reports


* Assist with preparation, circulation and maintenance of company price lists and trade discounts


* Maintain CRM system to ensure customer contact details are up to date


� General Reception duties and welcoming and managing visitors on site


� Purchasing of stationary and other occasional goods, equipment and services


� Cover other roles when necessary (additional training to be provided):


During planned holidays and absences, the successful candidate will be expected to cover some of the warehouse duties for dispatching goods to customers (Order Fulfilment)


Working together with the Operations Director to cover the final delivery phase of the order handling process:


� Pick and prepare products according to Customer Sales Order requirement


� Pack and label product for each order suitable for the designated means of transport and as per the sales order requirements


� Programming of EPIRBs according to customer's requirements


* Use of courier (FedEx and TNT) internet-based logistics software



Qualifications/Knowledge:


� Experienced in working in a highly service oriented and customer focused environment


� Enthusiastic, self-motivated, committed team player


� Confident and warm personality, with a well-developed range of interpersonal skills


� Reliable, with the ability to work on own initiative, plan and work in a flexible manner


� Able to perform work accurately whilst under time pressure


� Articulate communicator in both verbal and written forms


� Excellent IT literacy skills in MS Word, and Excel


� Competent in working with IFS or other ERP and Management Information Systems


� Respect and understanding of other cultures


� General understanding of National & International Freight handling


� Some knowledge of Transportation of Dangerous Goods would be desirable

  • 36.5 hours of work per week

  • Standard office hours 09:00 to 17:00 (early close on Friday at 16:00

  • Membership of the Company Pension and Life Assurance schemes

  • 3 months' probation period (standard contract following successful review
