Adecco Sunderland has a fantastic opportunity to join an international manufacturing organisation as Sales and Marketing Coordinator to cover a period of Maternity on a 12-month fixed term contract based in Boldon

My client offers a competitive salary of £18,000 to £21,000 depending on experience, this is a full-time role of 37.5 hours per week - Mon to Fri 9am to 5pm.

We are looking for a lively and motivated Sales and Marketing Coordinator to join a small but busy team. The role is to cover maternity leave but does have the possibility of a permanent position in the future.

You will work alongside two field-based sales managers to generate and nurture business prospects through the initial stages of the sales pipeline. Dealing with incoming enquiries, nurturing the lead pipeline and generating new business leads, the Sales and Marketing Coordinator performs a vital role in the sales and marketing process and is an important and valued ambassador of my clients' brand.

The Role

The Sales & Marketing Coordinator (SMC) will make a professional and friendly first impression to incoming enquiries as well as when generating new business leads.

The SMC will respond to incoming enquiries via telephone and email, recording the details of all communication and supplementary prospect data in the Salesforce CRM system. Through a consultative approach with the client, the SMC will fact-find and nurture the business lead before handing over to the Responsible Salesperson (RSP) who will move the prospect through the sales funnel.

The SMC will continue to support the RSP with communication and database upkeep for the duration of the buying cycle. Setting up sales appointments and demonstrations and sometimes making calls or composing emails on behalf of the RSP.

As well as handling the incoming website, email and telephone leads, the SMC is responsible for enriching the database with new business leads and prospecting for new business opportunities.

Key Duties

  • Providing a helpful and consultative response to incoming enquiries

  • Pro-actively nurturing prospects (prequalification) to 'qualified opportunity' stage in line with required opportunity generation targets

  • Maintaining, cleansing and enriching the CRM database

  • Diary management for the RSPs

  • New business prospecting

  • Filling up roadshow and open day appointments

  • Monitoring group mailboxes

  • Occasional Attendance to roadshows, exhibitions and events

  • Supporting other departments and additional duties as required

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience working in a customer service or sales environment

  • Data entry, reporting and analysis

  • Proficient in computer skills including (CRM, Excel, Outlook, Word)
