Sales Executive

£22,000 pa (plus Bonus)


Our client has an exciting opportunity for a competent and assertive Sales Executive to join an established Equestrian Company. Responsible for general administration duties within the sales team and to interact with customers to provide and process information in response to enquiries and requests.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • First point of contact for UK and international enquiries.

  • Provide support and develop existing accounts to achieve their maximum potential.

  • Responsible for the management of sales within your designated territory and targeted to achieve solid growth.

  • Contact your customer base through visits and telephone calls to build strong relationships leading to increase sales.

  • Meet and exceed monthly targets.

  • Research and develop new sales leads.

  • To provide a professional and welcoming experience for all guests ensuring they are catered for if required.

  • Act as an ambassador at all times for the brand including representing the brand at sponsored events, prize giving's, corporate industry events etc.

  • Organising and attending all UK and international shows.

Qualifications and experience

  • A minimum of two years proven track record in sales with a proven ability to exceed targets and work well under pressure.

  • Knowledge of horses and the equine industry is essential.

  • Excellent organisational skills.

  • Excellent customer service and communicational skills both verbally and written with a confident telephone manner.

  • To be able to emphasise with customers and overcome challenges.

  • Ability to identify new business opportunities.

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel/Word/Email.

  • Work well in fast paced environment.

  • Reliable, hard working with a flexible attitude.

  • Able to work alone and within a team

  • Full clean driving licence.

  • Reliable, accountable, hardworking and flexible attitude

  • Positive outlook with a strong focus on working as part of a team

  • Comply with all personal responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974

  • Comply with all lean six sigma processes across the workplace

  • Recognise and appreciate diversity and equality in the workplace, treating everyone with respect

  • Good communication skills

  • Self-driven and results orientated

  • Good practical skills

  • Effectively self-manage their time and work load to meet deadlines

The successful candidate will need to live locally to the offices in Walsall as this is predominantly an office-based role. There will be some out of office responsibilities including visiting customers and representing the brand at various events throughout the year so the ability to travel when required is essential. Some evening and weekend work will be required.
