Our client is a leading further educational establishment and employer of choice on the outskirts of York, whose academic departments undertake ground-breaking research which challenges their students to dream big and change the world. Due to growth our client has instructed Adecco to recruit a School Support Office Administrator on an ongoing temporary basis.



As School Support Office Administrator your duties with include.



  • Providing proactive assistance to the Dean in managing their diary, scheduling individual and group meetings, assisting with forward planning of workload and advising on impending deadlines.

  • Dealing with sensitive and confidential information, using judgement and initiative in prioritisation of responses and issues, referring onwards where necessary.

  • Recording, filing actioning and/or forwarding as appropriate all incoming internal and external paperwork, emails and telephone calls in a prompt and professional manner.

  • Assisting the Dean in preparation of presentation material and other documentation to be sent for internal and external circulation.

  • Arranging travel and accommodation.

  • To provide ongoing administrative support for the Senior Management team.



The successful candidate will have excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, the ability to deal professionally with colleagues internally and externally to the business, be proactive, energetic, and positive mindset. Possess the ability to follow and complete processes, suggesting and implementing improvements as required and have strong IT and administration skills, including creating and formatting documents, report writing and email management. Familiar with tools such as Microsoft Word and Excel.



This is an ongoing temporary administration role.


37 hour working week.


Pay Rate is £11.00 per hour


This position will initially be remote working and therefore you will be required to have a working internet connection and own computer or laptop would be an advantage.
