Scientist I


Department: Technical Team



Overall Job Purpose:
Using skills and experience to implement analytical/manufacturing/formulation development methods to support both Client projects and Juniper Pharmaceutical projects.
To perform and accurately record any experimentation and generate the supporting documentation as required for Clients projects in accordance with Juniper Pharmaceuticals policies and meet Client specifications, delivering on time and within budget.


Main Duties:
- Conduct and document work to cGMP ensuring that projects are conducted in accordance with company procedures and the agreed timelines
- To document all project work to a high standard. This includes contemporaneous, complete and clear documentation of laboratory work in laboratory notebooks and the timely completion of all necessary project administration.
- To perform all laboratory work to a high degree of scientific rigour such that it will stand up to external scientific, legal or regulatory scrutiny.
- Ensure that all work is conducted in a responsible and safe manner in accordance with Juniper Pharmaceuticals Health and Safety policies and ensure that all Health and Safety considerations are appropriately documented.
- Maintain personnel training record at all times and proactively identify any training requirements for the job role.



Skills and Experience:
- A degree in a relevant technical area, or equivalent.
- General awareness of the pharmaceutical industry and GMP
