We are looking for an Senior Accounts Assistant to join a fast-growing and friendly construction company in Loughton.


The purpose of the role will be supervising a small team of two with the day-to-day accounts processes including invoice processing, supplier accounts queries, reporting and various other tasks.


The ideal candidate does NOT have to be part or fully-qualified, but they will have:



  • Previous experience working in Accounts with a good understanding of the general accounting process.

  • Experience in using Sage 50 accounting (faimiliarity with a payroll software is a bonus).

  • An understanding of accounting in construction is desirable but not essential.

  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel (V-lookups, pivot tables, large data manipulation).

  • Competence in preparing management accounts including journal processing, nominal account reconciliations and error correcting.
