Salary/Rate: Highly competitive + company compensation package

Shifts: Flexibility working on any shift is required.


Shifts are Wed- Saturday or Sunday - Wednesday days or nights. (40 hours per week plus one hour the break, 11 hours on site)

Adecco are currently recruiting for a Senior Operations Manager in various UK locations, on behalf of our client, a Global market leader in their industry and top 100 company.




Responsibilities overview included but not limited to:



  • First and foremost, you'll need to be Customer Obsessed!

  • You will work vigorously with all clients and customers until a solution is reached, a goal is achieved, or an expectation met - or exceeded!

  • You will build a deep understanding of operations, while being constantly on the lookout for continuous improvement opportunities

  • You will be expected to identify positive process change and play a pivotal role in implementing any solutions and changes

  • From day one you'll have an impact on both efficiency and the level of service provided to customers

  • As Senior Operations Manager, you will be constantly looking to exceed productivity goals, while developing and maintaining a reliable and resilient operations team

  • Day-to-day, you will ensure site practices are fully compliant with legislation and policy

  • You will achieve this through monitoring, accountability, auditing and reviewing all practices that fall under your professional remit

  • You will be expected to rise to the challenge of participating in initiatives across busy operations departments, and from time-to-time, in cross-functional process and business improvement projects.

  • You will manage and drive staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, performance levels and process change initiatives as they impact upon your team's sphere of influence.



Candidate Profile



  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations or related field preferred


(analytical degree advantageous)



  • 7+ years direct management experience in a fast-paced manufacturing, production or distribution environment

  • Experience with a contingent workforce during peak seasons

  • Possess a demonstrated ability to manage, motivate and influence work behaviours

  • Experience with the full staffing life cycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and terminations,

  • Experience with performance metrics and process improvement

  • Demonstrated ability to manage detail, establish root cause, as well as being able to extract and manipulate data

  • Solid working knowledge of Lean techniques, such as Kaizen, 5S, and/or Six Sigma methodologies

  • Strong business judgment, with a track record of successfully delivering quantifiable results

  • Proven analytical thinking, project management skills

  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills are required, along with demonstrated problem solving and analytical capabilities

  • Able to think clearly, analyse quantitatively, problem-solve, support and adhere to scope of requirements and, above all, prioritize effectively

  • Have an entrepreneurial mindset, with the tenacity to develop ideas independently while thriving in a fast-paced environment

  • Managing and driving production and process improvement through efficiency and change

  • Able to work flexible, non-traditional schedules and shifts: always commit the time required to get the job done

  • Interested in developing a long-term career through assignments in operations
