Adecco UK & I are currently recruiting for a Senior Process Developer in Batley (WF17).


Our client is a leading pet care brand and global FMCG Company based on J27 of the M62.


The purpose of the job is to lead processing technology projects including complex new process design and development, from concept through to implementation in our factory network. In addition, the job holder will lead projects aimed at improving existing processes and ensuring that opportunities to optimise process efficiency and effectiveness are identified and realised.


Key Responsibilities -



  • To lead process technology projects that involve complex new process design and development, from concept through to implementation in our factory network.

  • To lead projects aimed at improving existing processes, and to ensure that opportunities to optimise process efficiency and effectiveness are identified and realised.

  • Lead in assessing the implications of the process solution for the supply business model.

  • Accountable for the development of the process solutions at pilot scale and scale up of these into factory solutions. Includes leading commissioning of new global innovation processes in European supply sites.

  • Effective management and timely delivery of a portfolio of projects, ensuring key risks are identified and managed.

  • Accountable for building functional excellence in process development within the team.

  • Accountable for providing training, technical leadership and support for other associates, within R&D and across functions.

  • Accountable for knowledge management, and effective communication of key programme, project and process findings and insights.


  • Leading high complexity process projects requires a high level of independence, experience and self-reliance.




  • The programme will have many new challenges. The job holder must fully understand interactions of the process along the entire supply chain and have the ability to methodically carry out complex analyses.



  • High level of mentoring and coaching the team


Job Specifications/Qualifications -



  • University degree in a relevant technical discipline.

  • Experience in managing and leading R&D projects in a fast-paced FMCG environment

  • Knowledge of relevant process technologies.

  • Computer proficiency in MS Office applications.

  • Good command in English (verbally and written).

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, e.g. communication, building collaborative relationships.
