Interim Lead for Private Rented Sector (PRS) Temporary and Emergency Accommodation Supply


Purpose


To lead on the client's procurement, supply and management of PRS products for temporary and emergency accommodation (TA & EA) use.


Brief


To provide interim expertise, experience and capacity to:



  1. Advise on, oversee and implement a 'make safe' improvement programme for the client's data, record keeping, operational and management arrangements for c2,000 units of PRS products - existing and future

  2. To be the subject matter expert (SME) and product lead on developing a new co-ordinated offer to PRS landlords supplying TA & EA units and services to the client

  3. To manage, develop, co-ordinate and lead a team to deliver a safer, best value service developing and implement the guidance, clarity, tools and support to deliver this

  4. To develop, with colleagues, a new procurement solution for the supply of PRS products

  5. To ensure financial probity, transparency, accountability, operational, management and governance best practice at all times

  6. To be the lead on behalf of the client with PRS landlords relating to the scope of this role (current and potential landlords)

  7. To ensure that the improvements you have implemented and planned are handed over to the substantive postholder(s) and teams and that this is accompanied by training and development as needed, so this is a seamless process



Experience/expertise



  • Substantial experience and expertise of working with PRS TA/EA products, services and landlords.

  • Leadership, service improvement/transformation, governance, financial probity, negotiation, training & development experience and/or expertise



Hours/duration


The role is expected to be a minimum of 3 days a week and for 3 to 6 months.
