Senior Sales Administrator

Location: Witham

Salary: £28k-£30k (depending on experience)

Hours: 9 - 5 pm (1-hour lunch)

Adecco is currently recruiting for a full-time permanent senior sales Administrator for our successful client based in Witham. This role is a very good, ad-hoc role, that will keep you busy in a fun fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in business to business Distribution/ E-commerce as well as a full understanding of the Sales process from entry through to delivery as well as deputy office management support to Sales Director.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process customer sales orders from order entry through to delivery

  • Provide customers with order updates and tracking/shipping information

  • Create customs documents for orders shipping outside of the UK

  • Track outbound shipments through to point of delivery

  • Assist with project management for key accounts

  • Assist with maintaining ship logs daily and check associated freight invoices

  • Process vendor purchase orders from order entry through to receipt of goods

  • Proactively communicate with vendors to ensure delivery deadlines are met

  • Check vendor invoices and enter them onto the accounts system

  • Create new part numbers and assist with maintaining part number integrity on Opera

  • Check and process customs entries and import duty & VAT invoices

  • Complete monthly and annual stock takes and report discrepancies to senior management

  • Provide month and year end reports to senior management

  • Provide product forecast to senior management for inventory replenishment purposes

  • Assist Director of Sales Operations with maintaining vendor pricing and part number integrity

  • Assist with database integrity

  • Answer incoming phone calls and greet visitors on arrival and assist with customer visits

  • Provide holiday cover to Director of Sales Operations, as required

Skills required for this role:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Web, Outlook, etc.)

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Strong work ethic

  • Enthusiastic

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Willingness to ask questions

  • Team player

  • Business to Business transactional experience

The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills, enjoy working as part of a team, be able to work to tight deadlines and have a positive approach. Good IT skills including MS Office are a must.
