We are recruiting for a Panel Coordinator for a Sensory Department for one of the world's leading FMCG organisations, PepsiCo International. This will be a pivotal role ensuring communications and plans are relayed effectively between suppliers and panel members. In addition to this, the Panel Coordinator will be responsible for the statistical analysis and reporting of results from panel sessions.

This will be an on-going temporary position with no fixed end date, based in the Beaumont Leys area of Leicester. Offering full time hours and a salary between £25-29k per annum.

  • General Panel Management. Responsible for general sensory panel work, incl.:

  • Act as the first point of contact between panels and suppliers and between panels, panel leaders and client?

  • Liaise between agency supplier and client? regarding recruitment requirements and processes

  • Statistical analysis and data interpretation of panel results

  • Technical report writing/approver

  • Act as the final check point for all reports before submission

  • Panel performance controller

  • Manage tests and projects for the panel

  • Lab materials budgeting and purchasing

  • Panel project scheduling

What are we looking for in a candidate?

  • Passion for sensory science and a degree within Food Sciences or relevant experience

  • Experience/Ability to manage a sensory panel and corresponding workload

  • Knowledge of panel management would be preferable but not essential

  • Statistical analysis, data interpretation and sensory report writing skills is essential

  • A self-starter with ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • IT Literate

  • High attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills, responding appropriately when challenged

  • Logical approach to problem- solving

  • Strong time management skills, ensuring deadlines are met

  • Keeping calm under pressure
