Location: Southport

Salary:Temporary - £12.88

Fixed Term Contract - £24,833 

Hours -Monday to Friday 37 hrs 9-5pm

Depending on location, some roles will require working a fixed pattern 4 or 5 days a week, with some Saturday working (approximately 1 in 3)

  The role will initially be a temporary role for up to 4 months, after this period there is the potential to go onto a Fixed Term Contract with the Home Office (HMPO) for up to 22 months.

HMPO are looking for strong Team Leaders to management and development an operational team, with the aim of improving performance and consistently meeting targets for quality, efficiency and customer service in processing passport applications, customer complaints and correspondence. 

The role will be to manage performance to meet agreed targets in relation to quantity, quality and customer service.  To oversee the integrity and accuracy of the work of the team to comply with key policy imperatives and security instructions and ensure that all dealings with customers are handled in a timely, courteous, and helpful manner. 

You will also be involved in general team management of around 10 to ensure they manage the use of procedures, policy and best practice guidelines as well as manage the attendance, performance levels and address development needs and potential. 

The Home Office requires candidaets that are flexible and you may be offered the above or simiar role at the same grading once your clearance is received.

Security ClearanceDue to the nature of the work CTC you will require security clearance  

  • Resided in the UK for the last 3 years  

  • Have a *current* British Passport or settlement status due to the sensitive nature of the work  

  • NI Number  

  • 2 x proof of addresses (all in uk)  

  • 5 years full history with no gaps of more than 1 month  

  • 3 years solid reference with no gaps of more than 1 month
