A service support assistant will undertake a range of administrative and telephone screening duties to support teams within customer services. The Admin Hub plays an important role supporting staff to deal with queries from members of the public on a range of issues

Work ContextBased in Customer Services; the main front door to services provided by Surrey County Council. The Admin Hub is an established team, working collaboratively with, and providing high quality and efficient support, to a range of teams within Customer Services.

The Service Support Assistant will input information received electronically and by post into appropriate databases as directed. They will ensure that information is sent to services in a timely manner and will carry out a range of general office duties as required.

The Service Support Assistant will screen calls from professionals and the general public, to identify whether calls are appropriate, and signposting where necessary, before passing them to Customer Service Officers.
