World leading manufacturing organisation are currently looking to recruit a laboratory analyst on a contact month basis until the end of October 2019


This role is working a shift pattern which includes a mixture of 12 hour shifts days and nights.


Hourly rate is £12.76 per hour (average pay of 38.75 hours per week) plus a weekly shift allowance of £173.07



The primary responsibility will be testing laboratory samples using a wide range of analytical techniques to support the manufacturing plants. As well as testing manufacturing samples, the role also includes (but is not limited to):


� calibration of test equipment


� SPC analysis


� maintenance of lab supplies,


� test method development and improvement projects


� analytical troubleshooting


� support for the department safety and 5S programmes


� support for lean and productivity improvements


� Quality Management activities



There will a requirement to provide reasonable additional cover to ensure the lab provides testing support for manufacturing.



The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of a HND in a science related subject, have experience of working in a laboratory testing environment and a good understanding of analytical principles such as method validation and method development.



In addition to the technical aspects listed, the candidate must have excellent communication skills, organizational skills, be proficient with MS Word and Excel and capable of working as a team player in a busy laboratory environment.
