Adecco's offices are based within the Siemens Gamesa premises, this gives us the ability to be the subject matter experts in all areas of recruitment for their Hull based operation.

The Role:-

The role of an Assembly Operative is to work alongside Drilling Operatives who drill holes into the newly painted wind blades to exacting tolerances ready for the Assembly Operatives to insert bolts and prepare the blade ready for shipping offshore. Siemens Gamesa blades will be 81 metres long and will be installed on some of the biggest planned Wind Farms in the UK and Europe. We are looking for candidates who possess very high levels of attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions in a logical and safe manner. If you have a passion for delivering quality and work well within a team environment this could be the job for you. Previous experience within a manufacturing environment is desirable, however we will also consider candidates who can demonstrate their ability to follow instructions and work well as a team player.

What Are Your Responsibilities?

* Organise and use materials, tools and equipment.

* Plan and lay out work.

* Carry out bolt insertion and final finishing.

* Follow strict engineering specifications and quality standards.

* Check and monitor constantly

ensuring very high levels of attention to detail.

* You must ensure complex processes

are followed exactly, failure to do this could damage a blade and the cost and lost time of this happening is excessive.

* Roles in the plant are safety critical and random drug and alcohol tests will be carried out - failing this test could result in dismissal.

* You will be working as part of a close team and you'll need to build excellent relationships.

* Follow instructions exactly as you are directed and do not take short cuts or implement process improvements without following the correct procedure.

Benefits

* Long term temporary position (potential for temp-to-perm contract, after qualifying period based on the requirement for permanent requirement and performance).

* Working Hours 0600-1800 & 1800-0600 - 12 hour shifts across days, nights and every other weekend (2 weeks on day shift, 2 weeks on night shift).

* £11.16p/h rising to £14.31p/h after 12 weeks continuous service.

* Holidays - 20 per annum + Statutory Bank Holidays (28) rising to 34 per annum (after 12-week qualifying period).

* Contributory Pension Scheme.
