Adecco Recruitment are currently recruiting for on behalf of our client, a Slitting Machine Operator to work for a well established manufacturing and distribution company based in Lancaster.


Salary: £22,236 to 27K (salary to be uplifted after 6 months training/probation training)
Training Hours: 6am to 2pm /2pm to 10pm (rotating shifts for training)


Working hours 10pm to 6am Monday to Thursday and 6pm to 10pm on Friday.


The role is responsible for working on slitting machines, Loading machines up, pouring adhesives, FLT work, handling 500 metre rolls.


Must have FLT license, strong attention to detail and experience within manufacturing/distribution.

Slitting Operative



Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Slitting Operator to join their growing team in Lancaster.



Contract: Permanent(Night Shift)



Location: Lancaster



Salary: Training rate - £22,236 pro rata, pay review circa £27,000 pro rata once training complete and competent.



Hours: 10pm-6am / Monday - Thursday and 6pm - 10pm Friday

Job Overview:


We are currently looking to fill a role within their production team on a permanent basis.

Successful candidate will be motivated, enthusiastic, keen to learn and hard working.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Daily running of all aspects of the slitting machines, working within a team of Four to ensure that all materials are produced to a high quality and are meeting daily output targets.

  • Checking the quality of the products

  • Loading/unloading the Slitting machines with materials

  • Using computers to input stock and product information



Minimum Requirement:



  • A safe approach to work

  • Good literacy & mathematical skills,

  • An eye for accuracy and record keeping

  • FLT experience (training can be provided)

  • Operating machinery, (full training provided)

  • Manual Handling (training can be provided)

  • Ambitious and dedicated to the job

  • Punctual and willing to go the extra mile

  • Experience in manufacturing an advantage

  • Experience with PC's an advantage
