We are delighted to be seeking an experienced Stores Operative to join out client who goes from strength to strength in todays market



This exciting new role will be central to the expansion of our stores functionality following the rapid growth of the business.



In this role you will not be joining an existing stores and warehouse team, but instead bringing drive and innovation as our client develops a new and vital infrastructure for Goods Inwards and effective stores management.



You must possess a willingness to start from scratch, and set up systems, processes and ways of working to enable you to successfully deliver in the role with the support of colleagues from the Production and Facilities teams.



Challenges will start with the ability to help develop a diligent and responsive Goods Inward function that is able to liaise effectively with: 3rd party suppliers / Purchasing / Accounts Payable / Facilities and Production.



Beyond that the role will involve maintaining accurate and safely stored stock locations and the dispatch of material to a fast moving 24 x 5 production environment.



Main Responsibilities


 This role will be responsible for managing the delivery, storage and dispatch of materials to production and development labs to strict KPIs.


 The role holder will help develop a Goods Inward function and be responsible for the receipt, storage and dispatch of materials throughout the business. Whilst commodities include: consumables, metals, bill of materials (BOM) items and gases a significant percentage will involve managing the delivery and safe storage of chemicals.


 All key transactions will be tracked using Stock Mgmt software (Herschel) and in many cases Kanban systems.


Skills/Qualifications


Essential


 Licensed to drive a counterbalance forklift


 3-5 years of general stores mgmt experience incl conversancy with


 Purchasing practices: A,B,C commodities, MOQ, VMI etc


 Stores Mgmt: FIFO, shelf life, ROP, Kanban, Stocktaking & Cycle counting etc


 Stores software systems utilizing ERP / MRP systems


 Experienced and conversant in chemical handling and chemical mgmt.



The role is offered with an immediate start on a rolling 12 month contract.
