Network Management Streetworks Coordinator


Responsible to the Head of Network Management for assisting in the application of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA) as amended by the Traffic Management Act 2004 (TMA) and the Richmond and Wandsworth permit schemes within the borough of Richmond and Wandsworth.


The role involves the assessment and inspection of Streetworks, the impact of utility project related activities within the London Borough of Richmond and Wandsworth and its associated road network particularly, on affected SRN /TLRN routes ensuring compliance with Network Management Duty.


To help develop and operate processes and systems to co-ordinate planned network activities around all utility projects.

* Experience of working with a Street works permitting system.
* Experience of reviewing and approving permit applications
* Experience of inspection and implementation of traffic management.
* Experience of inspection and monitoring of highway reinstatements and materials used.
* Very good analytical and interpretation skills.
* Experience of managing the implementation of road works and street works.
* Good understanding of relevant legislation, the political context and public sector environment.
* Ability to work on their own and organise workload to meet often conflicting targets and deadlines.
