Team Leader - Professional Administration and Support Team


Location: Tooting


Salary: £34,000 - £39,000 dependent on skills and experience.


Contract type: Permanent



Adecco are recruiting for a full-time Team Leader to work within our client's Professional Administration and Support Team, providing efficient and effective support for students on their university programmes. The role leads on course administration for the Faculties Pre-Registration programmes.



The role of Student and Programme Coordinator carries a varied remit which would suit applicants who are keen to further develop their career within Higher Education. The role offers candidates an excellent opportunity to enhance professional learning and to develop their skills and expertise. You will ensure an excellent level of customer service is provided to all stakeholders and that institutional and regulatory policies and procedures are understood and consistently applied.



The post is located within a busy office environment in Tooting. We are a lively student-centred Faculty bringing together wide-ranging practice-based education and training programmes across nursing and allied health professions.



The person:


A highly organised and self-motivated, experienced higher education administrator with a strong attention to detail. You will be committed to providing the best quality service to internal and external colleagues and partners, demonstrating an ability to lead a team and to build and maintain sound working relationships in contributing to the delivery of an efficient and comprehensive support service. Experience of working accurately and paying close attention to detail, working with sensitive situations with discretion, and an awareness of the need for confidentiality in all student/customer matters are essential.



Duties include:



  • Providing day-to-day line management support of the Student and Programme Administration team, including giving operational guidance and supervising the completion of key tasks as appropriate; undertaking regular reviews of progress and performance, alongside annual appraisal to help professional

  • Be responsible for coordinating processes relating to student administration, ensuring these are undertaken efficiently and

  • Work with the Team Manager to plan and manage the staffing rota for the Faculty Student Help Desk ensuring it is staffed throughout operating hours, and arrangements are made for any exceptional student support and other required periods of

  • Coordinate the work of administrators across the team and ensure the accurate transfer of student data from admissions to enrolment
