Student Data Administrator

Temporary position

£10ph - 21.6 hours per week Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

Due to the nature of the role, you will need to be able to provide two references including one from your most recent employment. You will also need to be able to verify any gaps in employment within the past five years.

Summary of Responsibilities

To be responsible to the Principal under the direct line management of the Management Information Systems Manager, for the provision of an administrative/secretarial support service within the Registry department. To have particular responsibility for supporting the academic management of the College's programmes.

Main Duties

  • Dealing with telephone enquiries and other requests in connection with College programmes.

  • To support effective monitoring and management information functions within the college as required, including the input and maintenance of accurate records held within the Colleges Management Information System

  • To provide assistance to the MIS Manager in the compilation of statistical information for both internal and external use.

  • Liaise with Academic Support Administrators and Academic Staff with regards to student admissions.

  • To provide administrative support for Academic staff including preparation of course packs and the returning of completed documentation.

  • Compilation and maintenance of mailing lists and mailing of publicity and other correspondence to students and organisations as directed by the MIS Manager

  • To provide routine administrative services such as postage, incoming mail, typing, filing and stationery, dealing with telephone enquiries and visitor enquiries.

  • To service College meetings including, where necessary, the arrangement of hospitality and assisting in the co-ordination of action resulting from the meetings as appropriate

  • Attendance at College meetings and/or working groups as required.

  • To undertake any training and development deemed relevant to the post.

  • To undertake duties and responsibilities in full accordance with the College's 'Health & Safety' policy and procedures.

  • To work to promote and support the College's policies and procedures with particular reference to the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults.

  • Any other duties which do not change the nature and purpose of the post which may be delegated to the post holder from time to time by the Principal or some other senior member of staff acting on his/her behalf.
