We are recruiting for our client who are a prestigious university based in central London. The team currently require 2 temporary new starters to start on the 3rd August until the 17th December 2021. These roles are for Administrators within different divisions paying £16.74 per hour.


Job details


1. This post will provide high-level customer service and administrative support to students and staff. This will include working on the Student Services Centre (SSC) counter, handling 'live chat' queries, providing advice and guidance to students on a wide variety of matters, and assisting them pro-actively with any difficulties or concerns. The post-holder will also provide support to the Academic Regulations Team, answering student and staff queries in relation to regulations/policies, preparing appeal cases for consideration and drafting correspondence to students. The post holder is expected to work without daily supervision and is required to manage or refer enquiries appropriately. This will require the post-holder to have a keen eye for detail, and an appreciation of the importance of confidentiality.


2. This post will provide high-level customer service and administrative support to students and staff. This will include triaging and responding to shared in-boxes, processing purchase orders and invoices, and working on data migration. The post holder is expected to work without daily supervision and is required to manage or refer enquiries appropriately. This will require the post-holder to have a keen eye for detail, and an appreciation of the importance of confidentiality.


Essential criteria:



  • Experience of working in a busy administrative environment.

  • Intermediate - advanced working knowledge of Microsoft office (particularly excel)

  • Ability to work well within a team.

  • Ability to prioritise own workload and deliver excellent service by specified deadlines.

  • Education to degree level or equivalent

  • Proven commitment to delivering an outstanding level of customer service.

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Excellent standard of written and oral communication

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students and colleagues.

  • Fast learner who is pro-active

  • Ability to maintain a positive, enthusiastic attitude.



Desirable:



  • Experience of having successfully working in an administrative function in the higher education sector.

  • Good working knowledge of SITS or another student database

  • Good working knowledge of Moodle
