Adecco Recruitment is currently recruiting for on behalf of our client, a Supply Chain Support Coordinator to work for a successful and growing organisation based in Carnforth.

Working hours:

Full time - 09:00 - 18:00 (Monday to Friday)

Reports to:

Purchasing Manager

Salary: £22K per annum

About the role:

The role consists of supporting the customer service team with taking product enquiries from enquiry stage to delivery. The role holder will have to be tenacious, highly organised, and competent in order to resolve materials related customer service issues in a timely manner and to the satisfaction of the customer. Negotiate with suppliers to deliver cost savings without compromising quality or service. Requirements include an excellent telephone manner and the ability to liaise professionally with suppliers, customers and sales personnel.


* Supporting the Sales teams with product enquiries

* Sourcing bespoke products from a list of approved suppliers

* Collecting product specifications and send enquiries out to tender

* Negotiating with suppliers

* Ordering and tracking samples from suppliers

* Recording, filing and dispatching samples to customers

* Raising purchase orders on system and send to suppliers

* Receive and cross check order confirmations

* Tracking purchase orders

* Coordinate production dates to work in conjunction with changing customer delivery schedules

* Confirming collection date from suppliers and collecting consignment information

* Passing consignment information to transport team to arrange collection

* Carry out quality control of bespoke order receipts

* Assisting in the resolution of materials related customer service issues

Candidate requirements:

* The ability to communicate excellently both verbally and in writing

* A good attention to detail, analytical skills

* Excellent telephone manner

* Previous experience in talking to customers

* Previous experience of working in a team

* Highly organised

* Able to embrace a high pace and pressured environment

* Planning & delivery
