Adecco's client has a fantastic opportunity for a supply chain lead working for a well-established, market leading


company based In Tamworth. You will be responsible for leading, and coaching the supply chain team, ensuring


on-time-in-full metrics are reached for production supply.



Job Role Duties




  • Lead the supply chain team, through coaching and mentoring, to develop an organised, structured team-approach to enable supply to meet production demands in a fast-paced engineering environment.

  • Achieve 'High Availability' & 'On Time and In Full' (OTIF) figures combined with a continuous improvement approach in order to drive business & customer service improvement, whilst controlling stock values in line with a 'Right First Time' approach.

  • Ensuring that supply progression is met, reacting to operational issues to maintain planned launch dates with a focus to respond to changes in demand & supply to maintain a commercially responsive flow of goods through active management of the supply chain.

  • Proactively support and lead regular review meetings with suppliers with supply chain team members to ensure that alignment with forward production requirements and supply provision is understood and met.

  • Develop and enhance relationships with key suppliers and the supply chain team to enable needs of business to be met, and any potential supply risks mitigated.

  • Use operation and forecast data on a day-to-day basis, and deriving suitable KPI methods, ensuring an organised, structured, nimble approach to expediting and control of supply is enabled.

  • Hold regular reviews with production planning, purchase and suppliers proposing amendments to system data to improve performance by ensuring re-order levels, lead times, review periods, replenishment cycles & forecast entries are enabled.

  • Working with planning, purchase, and stores teams, ensure appropriate stock levels are managed across the various sites to provide the 'Right Stock' at the 'Right Time'.



The Candidate




  • A supply chain practitioner having knowledge, and history, of working in a fast-paced, growing company within both low volume, high variance, and medium volume automotive or engineering manufacturing supply environments.

  • Demonstratable experience in building a structured and organised team, with leadership abilities to coach and inspire great performance.

  • Proven ability to act calmly under pressure, with clarity of thought, and to lead clear and decisive action.

  • Ability to manage all aspects of complex supply chains from end-to-end in a low volume, high variety environment covering different market sectors.

  • Experience in analysing and interpreting large data sets, being able to provide clear high-level messages.

  • Good commercial and financial acumen.

  • Proven communication skills both written and verbal at all levels within a business.

  • IT literate with a good understanding of Excel, Powerpoint, and MRP / ERP systems.

  • A well organised and supportive individual, with a focus on detail and accuracy.

  • Seeks to adhere to laid down policies and procedures, but also to enhance and sustain them to ensure fitness for purpose.

  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills.

  • Results driven, organised, with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines.

  • Proven analytical, planning and problem-solving skills.
