To liaise with suppliers to gain the most favourable terms for all of the required products. This may not just be cost based, but could be product availability and quality.

We are seeking a Supply Chain Assistant who will support the Buyers in all elements to ensure that the Supply Chain operation maximises the goals of the business at all levels.

The roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Updating the ERP system with item records, including quotations and approved supplier lists;

  • Raising and tracking Purchase Orders for special projects;

  • Placing Purchase Orders and tracking delivery through to Goods Receipt to ensure there are no risks to production;

  • Running and formatting purchase reports in Excel

  • Preparing cost analysis;

  • Maintaining the purchasing contract database, tooling register, and PPAP register;

  • Collating and downloading drawings, creating tender packages for RFQ's;

  • Supporting the ISC team with additional administrative support;

  • Reporting out on agreed KPI's and measures;

  • Aiding the implementation and maintenance of Supply Chain processes by way of continuous improvement;

  • Ensuring Health and Safety procedures and good housekeeping are adhered to at all times;

  • Undertaking special projects and duties as requested by the Supply Chain Manager.

Minimum Qualifications/Skills/Education:

  • Experience in a Supply Chain environment is preferred;

  • 2 years prior experience in Purchasing

  • Oracle system knowledge is advantageous;

Please note this is a Temporary contract for a 4 month period, and we are looking for candidates who are available to start immidieatly due to the demands of the position.
