Adecco are proud to be recruiting on behalf of North Wales Police for a Support Officer to join their Vulnerable Adults Risk Management team to deliver an effective service to review vulnerable adults who regularly come into contact with Police and partner organisations that require early intervention and preventative support.

Working with various partner agencies, you will be establishing a panel where vulnerable adults in the community can be identified and supported by the appropriate resources.

You will be working across North wales, so the ability to travel independently is essential. In areas where the VARM programme is not yet fully set in up, you will be establishing and developing the links with partner agencies and working closely with them to put this initiative into place. The Support Officer will support the development of these panels and put in place long term sustainability plans, monitoring & reporting systems and support Mental Health Leads.

Key skills for this role are:

  • Ability to work effectively with partner organisations

  • Experience working in the voluntary sector or the Criminal Justice system, or related organisations delivering support services

  • Background in identifying or working with vulnerable people or groups

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage own workload

  • Good organisational, time management and self-motivation

  • Driving licence and ability to travel around North Wales

The post will be working remotely from any suitable police base in the North Wales Police network, although regular travel will be required across the force area to attend meetings and partner sites.

Role is Mon-Fri, 37 hours per week.
