Systems Officer

4 Month Temporary Contract

£20 per hour

Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm

Based in Central London

Adecco are currently recruiting for a Systems Officer to work within a prestigious university based in central London.

Maintenance and Development of the Student Records System

  • Be responsible for ensuring that complete and accurate course and module based information is held on SITS and on the Course/Module Offer Database

  • Co-ordinate the testing of new releases of the SITS and the production of test plans.

  • Contribute to the maintenance of award and progression rules on SITS to enable the efficient operation of all courses.

  • Contribute to determining the appropriate level of access for users of SITS, client server and web, and maintain an auditable list of approved users.

  • Be responsible for maintenance of help pages within eVision.

  • Be the 'go-to' person in respect of eVision queries

  • Be responsible for ensuring the accurate recording of data in respect of collaborative students

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new client and web-based functionality for SITS.

Service Delivery

  • Ensure that student and staff queries relating to eVision and client access to SITS are handled in a prompt and reliable manner.

  • Be a lead practitioner and provide expert advice to internal departments on all aspects of recording data on SITS

  • Produce, update and maintain documentation, manuals and training material relating to the accurate management data within the Department.

  • Support staff in the Student Journey and within Schools by providing ad hoc data as requested

  • Facilitate the issuance of email correspondence to students from within Schools and other PSDs

  • Respond to requests from the University's Internal and External Auditors for documentation to support their monitoring activities.

  • Proactively work to optimise the delivery of effective support to improve student experience and achievement.

Key Skills

  • Experience in collating and recording information onto a database.

  • Experience in developing systems and processes and initiating practice including project management

  • Experience of effective query management from customer and stakeholders at any level.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the role of technology in supporting systems and functions, in particular the role of a student records

  • Knowledge and understanding of the University's enrolment and assessment related processes
