Adecco are proud to be recruiting on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary for a Team Leader in their Witness Care Unit.

The post is based in Runcorn, and a part time job share arrangement working Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday. Working hours are flexible.

The purpose of the unit is to provide a effective contact with victims and witnesses of criminal cases, in order to improve the confidence and satisfaction of witnesses and victims in order to reduce the number of ineffective trails and outcomes due to witness issues (e.g. non-attendance).

Overseeing a team of Witness Care Officers, the Supervisor will be responsible for the all aspects of quality and output from the the team. This post is responsible for the delegation of caseloads, and managing the team to ensure work is distributed evenly and that staff resources are available to meet this. You will be monitoring and reporting on KPI and performance, and ensuring all processes and complaints are dealt with in line with the relevant compliance requirements.

In addition to the management of all staff welfare and development issues, you will also be responsible for training issues, H&S compliance, sickness management and any other welfare issues.

In return, you will receive full training and support from a network of team leaders.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience of managing a team.

  • Ability to manage staff and welfare issues appropriately.

  • Effective communication skills

  • Ability to make decisions and take responsibility for team performance.

  • Experience in building confidence and leadership.

The post pays £12.04p/hr and working 22.5 hours per week.

Post is subject to a thorough police background check.
