Technical Administrator

Location: Runcorn

Mon - Fri , 37 Hrs, 8.00 - 4.30 Mon-Thurs and 8.00 -1.00 on Fri, with 30 mins lunch, but can be reasonably flexible on that.

£13.00 per hour, immediate start

Position Summary:

To provide Engineering administration service and support to the business so that the company products are manufactured, assembled, and modified.

Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities:

  • Control and monitor engineering documentation through the change control process.

  • Generate Engineering Change Requests and Implement Documentation Engineering Change Requests onto the systems.

  • Maintain the Production Print Library to enable the business to access the latest released documentation.

  • Generate and maintain Bills of Materials on the system and provide assistance to Engineers when required.

  • Ensure released documentation reflects the system information.

  • Generate and provide reports to support the obsolescence of products and assemblies at the end of their manufacturing life.

  • Generate and maintain registers of development parts, production part numbers, part lists and reference codes to provide a comprehensive information system.

  • Upload new and revised Technical publication documents to the system.

  • Assist in updating basic engineering documentation.


  • Experience of Design Office/Engineering processes and change control.

  • Good knowledge of ERP systems, ideally SAP or equivalent.

  • Accurate data entry and technical report preparation skills.

  • Self-motivated and also be able to work as part of a team.

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft office.

  • Able to organise, prioritise and multitask.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proven administration skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Good standard of English and Maths essential.
