We are looking for a Technical Sales Consultant that has sold into civils / construction.

The key focus of this role is to research and generate specifications through seminars, technical meetings, site visits and customer enquiries. The aim is to grow existing markets while developing relationships with a variety of industry sectors. Whilst the role could be based from a home office or our office there is a requirement to travel throughout the UK including overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Discover and establish new specifications and identify potential projects

  • Achieve personal and department targets

  • Provide technical assistance and recommendations utilising the engineering department where appropriate

  • Assist with the formation and implementation of department sales and marketing strategies

  • Develop new and existing targeted accounts

  • Present CPD style seminars

  • Technical meetings and site visits

  • Maintain and update CRM system

Requirements of the Role

  • Experience in building customer relationships

  • Minimum 2 years' experience gained within civils/construction materials supply sector

  • Experience in gaining and defending specifications

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Willing to travel throughout the UK with nights away

  • Actively demonstrate the 'Values and Behaviours' of the business

  • Understand and work in line with the annual business plan
