An opportunity has arisen for a Telecare Officer to join a public organisation based in East London.


If you are successful for this position you be required to provide high quality 24 hour 365 day a year alarm monitoring, response, assessment and installation service within the organisation. To provide assistance and reassurance to clients using telecommunications and computerised monitoring equipment.


**Please note that this position is for nights only**


The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:



  1. To carry out call handling duties and to deal with them promptly and in accordance with the operating procedures.



  1. To identify and undertake the appropriate action and initiate procedures that deal with emergencies, illness or death, as necessary.



  1. To ensure that detailed notes of the call reasons, actions and outcomes are made for each individual call.



  1. To respond to clients needs by assessing the situation and deciding on the appropriate course of action in accordance with procedures. This can include response to medical emergencies, or lifestyle monitoring equipment as well as home safety sensors.

  2. To build a working knowledge of Telecare equipment available in order to handle all calls efficiently and to assist with the programming and testing of all Telecare equipment and sensors prior to installation.


  3. To be aware of the organisation's policy on risk management and to escalate any new, emerging or potential risks to your line manager.





  4. To complete general office duties including receiving & sending e mails completion of forms, scanning, filing and associated administrative duties.




  5. Where necessary to arrange replacement operator(s) to cover for sickness, emergency leave absences etc.
